Words Matter

Words matter, when we are on this fertility journey, because words have power.  It is the positive words we need the most, but the negative words that seem to stay and stick. Are you aware 80% of repeated thoughts are negative?  This is how we are hard-wired and there is something we can do about it.

1. Notice

2. Flip it...changing the negative into a positive (Pratipaksha Bhavana - is what it is called in yoga)

When trying to conceive, we are awakened in a different way to all sorts of voices.  Ours, usually, gets lost in the mix.  We begin to believe that others know better.  They don’t!  So get really still and start listening to the voice that has been there all along.  Maybe it wasn't very encouraging or maybe it was.  Either way, it is time to turn around the words that are no longer serving your higher purpose.

Stay away from the negative impact of social media.  Clean up your account or make a new one.  Find the practitioners/people that remain positive and don't ramble on and on about how infertility sucks.  Feeling all of it is important and helps us move through the trauma.  However, getting stuck there is the issue.

Let’s begin to move in a different direction…

Maybe…

My fertility helps me to know myself better.

My fertility has guided me towards understanding my body and how it functions.

My fertility has changed me for the good.
