Awake or Asleep? 3 Steps For Conscious Fertility

Are you awake or are you asleep?  I ask this question because I often wonder about this for myself. Many people have no idea the difference.  That's ok too.  But if you think the fairy tales where the princess was sleeping are true... I would ask you to look again.  


They weren’t sleeping, they were asleep.   They were wandering around either worrying about the future or anxious about the past.  There was no way any of them were in the present moment.  Present moment being: the here and now which is ever fleeting.  Even this blog is in the past.    


Yes, sleep is important for fertility. But more importantly, how are you living your life? Are you just going through the motions?  We all do this from time to time.  Our task is to get back into our bodies and awaken...to live here in the now.  That is what fertility is asking us to do.


Here are some things that I do to bring myself back to now:

  1. Take a deep breath

  2. Feel my feet touching the ground

  3. What am I doing right now? (look, feel, taste, touch, hear)


Catch yourself throughout the day (set an alarm or the breathing app on your iwatch) to check in to the NOW.
