How Long Is Too Long To Wait For Baby?

Can you wait 1, 2, or 10 years? Only you can answer that question.

My grandmother was able to get pregnant VERY easily in her twenties.  So much so that she had one child and then 14 months later gave birth to twins.  My mom was one of them.  She, subsequently, was divorced and met her new husband a few years later.  My grandma, once again, began her journey of getting pregnant.  She gave birth to a daughter 10 years after my mother was born.  Then, she had to wait another 8 years to give birth again.  My grandmother’s story gives hope in so many ways.  She did not have access to medical means.  So she waited and waited and waited.  When her body was ready, she was able to bring forth new life.

I, too, was able to very easily get pregnant in my twenties.  But my thirties was a different story.  I waited two years to give birth to my child. I chose not to use any intervention.  Everyone’s journey is different and sacred.

The question I propose: is a year long enough to wait? Who created this timeline?  Time is constructed and made by humans.  The universe knows no time.  Your body is ready when it is ready.  Is it inconvenient for some?  Hell yes! Is it inconvenient for others?  Maybe!  Only you know for yourself what is right.

I am grateful for this community and learning about all of you in profound ways.
